Overview
We built The Popcorn Fan without a database - we don't run user accounts, and we don't store personal data in a backend system. This policy explains the limited data that is collected when you visit our site, mainly through cookies and third-party services we use, and the privacy choices available to you.
We don't sell or share your personal information with third parties for money. Where required (for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act, CCPA/CPRA), you can still exercise your rights as described below.
1. Information We Collect
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs technical information with every page request: browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the pages you visit on our site, date and time of access, and your IP address. This is used to deliver the site correctly, keep it secure, and diagnose problems. Log data is not linked to your identity.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies. Technically necessary cookies (for example, to remember your cookie choice) are always active. With your permission, we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. See our cookie banner and Section 2 below.
2. Manage Your Cookie Choices
You can change your cookie choice at any time - for example if you'd like to opt in to or out of analytics cookies.
3. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use our site (pages viewed, time on page, navigation paths) and helps us understand and improve the site.
Google Analytics only loads after you accept cookies through our cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site and reloading the page, or by using your browser's cookie settings.
More information is available in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Amazon Associates Program
The Popcorn Fan participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click an Amazon link on our site, Amazon may set its own cookies and collect data about your visit and any resulting purchase, in accordance with Amazon's own privacy policy. We do not control and are not responsible for Amazon's data practices.

5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you certain rights regarding your personal information:
• Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
• Right to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
Because we don't operate user accounts or a database, we hold very little personal information tied to you individually - mainly what's described in Section 1. To exercise any of these rights, or if you have questions, please contact us using the details in Section 7. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out request where applicable.
6. Children's Privacy
Our site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
7. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or would like to exercise your privacy rights, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
